Join us for the 14th Annual Secret Gardens Tour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018.

Are you a garden enthusiast in search of vibrant seasonal color, landscaping authenticity and gardening inspiration? Our annual Secret Gardens Tour provides the opportunity to explore exclusive private gardens in the northwest section of the Borough of West Chester. In addition to celebrating local home owners and their creativity, visit our plant sale and grab a bite to eat at the Haute Wheels food truck.

According to Renee Talley, owner of the landscaping company Flowers & More, the event’s presenting sponsor, “One of the most intriguing aspects of this event is that you see gardening ideas on the tour that are obtainable for the local gardener.”

Since its inception, the Secret Gardens Tour has generated $225,000 in support of our horticultural therapy program at Barclay Friends. Our program offers all residents many therapeutic benefits including providing a sense of purpose; improving use of fine and gross motor skills through working in raised beds and flower arranging; awakening the senses; and giving back to the local community by growing food for the Chester County Food Bank.
