Barclay Friends Named One of the “Best Nursing Homes” by U.S. News & World Report

We are thrilled to announce that Barclay Friends has been listed among the “Best Nursing Homes” for 2021-22 by U.S. News & World Report. Additionally, we received the distinction of being “High Performing” in both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care.

This distinction highlights Barclay Friends’ commitment to providing the best in both living experiences and healthcare access to residents of the community, no matter where they reside on campus.

“At Barclay Friends, we take a whole-person approach that includes healthcare services and various living options that enhance the quality of life for residents of the community,” said Linda Sterthous, Executive Director at Barclay Friends. “Our team is dedicated to helping residents embrace the many offerings available to them within our campus so they can live truly fulfilled lives, including opportunities to participate in life enrichment activities such as horticulture, art and musical programs. This appreciated recognition is a direct result of our staff’s devotion to our community.”

U.S. News evaluated more than 15,000 older adult communities throughout the country for this ranking. To be recognized as one of the 2021-22 U.S. News & World Report’s Best Nursing Homes, a provider must have been “High Performing” in short-term rehabilitation, long-term care or both. U.S. News evaluates factors that they have determined most impact resident care, safety and outcomes to determine these rankings.
