At Barclay Friends, we believe that employees are the heart and soul of everything we do. To show our gratitude for their dedication and hard work, we’re thrilled to celebrate Employee Appreciation Week! This week is all about recognizing and honoring the incredible contributions of the Barclay Friends team, and we’ve had a series of exciting events lined up to make each day special.

Day 1: A Taste of Italy with a Pasta Bar

What better way to start the week than with a delicious and comforting meal? On Day 1, we transformed our dining area into a vibrant Italian bistro, complete with a pasta bar that offered a delightful array of Italian flavors. From rich and creamy Alfredo to zesty marinara and everything in between, there was something for everyone to enjoy. This pasta bar set the tone for a week full of appreciation and celebration.

Day 2: Corn-hole Tournament & Treats

Day 2 kicked off with a spirited corn-hole tournament that brought out everyone’s competitive side! It was great to see so many colleagues participating and cheering each other on. Alongside the games, we indulged in delicious hotdogs and refreshing Rita’s Water Ice, making it a perfect afternoon of fun and relaxation. The camaraderie and excitement were palpable, highlighting the strong team spirit at Barclay Friends.

Day 3: Wellness Wednesday

Wellness Wednesday was all about taking a moment to unwind and recharge. Employees had the opportunity to enjoy soothing massages, which helped us all feel rejuvenated and appreciated. It was a wonderful reminder of the importance of self-care and taking time to focus on our well-being. This day emphasized our commitment to the holistic health of our team members.

Day 4: Gaining Knowledge with a Benefits Fair

Day 4 was all about INFORMATION INFORMATION INFORMATION! The HR Team and some of Barclay Friends’ benefits representatives provided a fantastic opportunity for employees to learn more about the amazing benefits packages we offer. Because after all, knowledge is power. Employees were able to ask questions and get detailed information, empowering them to make the most of their benefits.

Day 5: Food Truck Fun with Albie’s Food Truck

As part of our Employee Appreciation Week, we pulled out all the stops for our 5th day of celebrations by bringing in Albie’s Food Truck to serve up some delicious treats! The food truck rolled in, serving a mouth-watering menu that had everyone excited. Staff enjoyed juicy burgers, savory crab-cakes, crispy fries, and refreshing lemonade. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, smiles, and a sense of camaraderie as everyone took a break from their usual routines to indulge in these delightful meals.

This week perfectly encapsulated the spirit of Barclay Friends – a community built on teamwork, appreciation, and a shared commitment to excellence. Thank you to Albie’s Food Truck for making Day 5 special and, most importantly, thank you to all the amazing employees for everything you do. Here’s to celebrating you today and every day!
