In honor of the 156th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg (July 1 – 3, 2019), Military Historical Lecturer, Reenactor and Tour Guide Michael Jesberger will present a program on the Gettysburg Address and President Lincoln’s visit to the battlefield. His talk will include some discussion of the 3-day battle — the singular turning point in The American Civil War as well as Lincoln’s internal struggle on what to say to his wounded and divided country at the Soldier’s National Cemetery Dedication on November 19th, 1863. A slideshow will accompany the lecture including original photos and images from the period.
