Howard Braxton Joins Kendal Corp as Director for Sales and Marketing

Howard Braxton joins Kendal’s corporate team Wednesday, July 12, as Director of Sales and Marketing. With an extensive background as a sales and marketing executive in senior living and health care, Howard’s primary responsibility will be to serve as a resource to all Kendal Affiliates by providing a wide range of sales expertise and on-site training. He will visit Affiliates frequently to assist with strategy and occupancy improvement challenges as well as with marketing activities required for expansions and new developments.

Howard comes to Kendal with great experience, most recently he worked with Hamlyn Senior Marketing in Haddonfield, New Jersey, where he served as a sales and marketing consultant for Life Plan Communities and for assisted living and skilled nursing organizations. There he provided clients with sales training, ongoing coaching, lead follow-up and sales event planning. He also helped with customer relationship management (CRM) database utilization reviews, including program and staff allocation recommendations.

From 2006 to 2015, Howard worked for ACTS Retirement-Life Communities. As Vice President of National Sales, his responsibilities included sales management of 23 communities in eight states from Florida to Pennsylvania. In that position, he worked with 21 executive directors on business development support, oversaw sales plan development and implementation and provided sales training and coaching.

“I have learned the business from the ground up and have managed sales and marketing staff at the community, regional, division and corporate levels,” Howard says. “I look forward to meeting and working with staff throughout the Kendal System to help advance our mission and values.”

Howard attended Penn State and Temple University and has a bachelor’s degree in community health education and counseling. He and his family live in Lansdale, Pennsylvania.
