Barclay Friends' Festival of Gardens

The annual Barclay Friends' Festival of Gardens is a West Chester garden tour held each September that features the lovely gardens of the residents of West Chester Borough.  During the tour, local artists can be found working in many of the gardens, and following the tour there is a plant sale at Barclay Friends.  The Festival of Gardens benefits the Horticultural Therapy program and is supported by members of the West Chester community who help plan and host the annual event in different sections of the Borough of West Chester each year. A committee of dedicated volunteers including former board members, members of the community, Barclay Friends’ family members, and staff help to make this yearly event a resounding success.  We thank all of our volunteers, garden owners, artists, sponsors, attendees, and committee members for their support of Barclay Friends’ Horticultural Program through their participation in our annual Barclay Friends' Festival of Gardens.

Barclay Friends' Eighth Annual Festival of Gardens

The 8th Annual Festival of Gardens Tour was held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 in the Everhart Park area of the borough of West Chester.  We were fortunate to have a sunny day where more than 300 tour-goers explored the twenty private gardens that were opened for the tour.  We would like to extend a big thank you to our Presenting Sponsor, Flowers and More, Inc., who, in addition to their sponsorship, played a huge part in making our plant sale a success.  Thank you to everyone who came out to support Barclay Friends and our Horticultural Therapy program!  Below is a collection of photographs that displays the beautiful variety of gardens guests were able to view.

Barclay Friends' Seventh Annual Festival of Gardens

The 7th Annual Festival of Gardens Tour was held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM.  Fourteen garden owners in the northwest neighborhood of the borough of West Chester opened their beautiful gardens to the attendees.  These photographs highlight some of the gardens on the 7th Annual Festival of Gardens Tour.

Barclay Friends' Sixth Annual Festival of Gardens

The 6th Annual Festival of Gardens Tour was held on Saturday, September 11, 2010. The fifteen private gardens toured this year were in the neighborhood surrounding Barclay Friends in West Chester.  Some of the delightful gardens on the 2010 Festival of Gardens are featured  in these photographs.
